PHASE SEVEN:
STRUCTURAL FRAMING

The first floor walls and 2nd floor framing are complete and the 2nd floor walls are starting to take shape.

No headers were used where walls do not carry loads from above.  This advanced framing technique reduces the amount of materials used to frame the house.

The roof framing is beginning to take shape.  Much of the 2nd floor living space is in the roof volume, keeping the height of the house in line with the original homes on the street while providing the needed extra living space.

Roof decking has begun.  Oriented Strand Board (OSB), made of compressed wood chips, is used instead of traditional plywood, making better use of forest resources.

Roof Framing is almost complete and ready for dry-in and mechanical systems to start.
